Using Software for Link Building - Ethical or Unethical?

Many does use software for link building. This include directory submissions, social marketing etc etc.

The intention of course to rank better and get more traffic eventually.

Many of us of course stick to the traditional manual method.

Which one is best approach, using software or manual, is a debated issue.

Do you think using software for link building is unethical

black hat SEO will look to build a large number of links over a short period of time. Steer away from SEO that offers link farms, link building programs or is offered through automated processes or software. White hat SEO link building is an art based on quality, relevance and reputation in contrast to black hat which looks for any link, anywhere and has no relevance. Search engines do not like to deliver irrelevant results and are excellent at sniffing out these practices. Exponential link growth, as delivered by black hat SEO, is easy for search engines to track and penalize.
