Ways to earn from search engines

Question

I see people creating search engines a lot but how many ways are there to actually earn from one? Any ideas?

Remember you can't puts adsense everywhere because that won't get your search engine anywhere.

I dont see myself creating a search engine and earning from it. I think the only way you can really earn from it is by making one and selling it in a bid on some webmaster forum, which is pretty good if you ask me. Umm, You could technically earn some good amount if your search engine has a PR of 5 or more, that might just give you a chance.

In this time, I don't think, thinking about creating a new search engine will be a beneficial step. Google is the king here, but yeah! if someone is that much courageous, then it's a big effort top popularize it.
