Does Web Hosting affect SEO Rankings ?

Hi,

I have many .co.uk web sites hosted on UK server, now I am planning to shift all those sites to Web hosting company in US . Will this affect my Search Engine Ranking in Google.co.uk. My sites are doing very good in Google.co.uk.

Is there anything like co.uk sites hosted UK server ranks well than those sites hosted on US Server.

    Sites hosted in uk ranks better in uk search.
    And hosted in US ranks better in in search.

    Don't shift to US if you want costumers from UK.

    But if your site is good in other ranking factors like backlink , domain age , ......... you wont hurt yourself much by shifting to US.

I do not think that is so important. More important uptime which your web host provide for you.
From my experience: I had web hosting in US (and have it now with just199) and was in Canada (In US now) and I did not have any problem with SEO because my web host provided me 100 uptime.
Answering on your question I have to say: more important which uptime server has and it doesn't matter where it is located
