How to make your blog appear credible?

I'm thinking along the lines of:

* high number of comments
* all links work
* professional design
* showing number of subscribers or leaving it out if it's only a small number

Alsp why not advertise our stuff on Youtube?
I am thinking of making a strong of videos and advertise anything and everything as my Hubby is a good techy with the vid. I am thinking of even advertising this forum. Just to tell everyone to visit..Why not?
