Password protecting your router does nothing for the wireless part. You have to use WEP to protect your wireless. This is inside your router. It is a key that you will use on your wireless card on your PC or laptop.

Again password protecting your router is good, keep it, but it is not stopping anybody form getting your wireless if you are not using WEP.
