Home hosting vs Buying hosting.

Hi!
Have anyone tried hosting their website in their own home?

I think hosting in our own home will give us satisfaction of data security and also would be interesting idea.

What do you think which one is better?
Hosting your website at your own home or buying servers from hosting companies?

Not really, there are many reasons that makes hosting from home is not reasonable.

In term of security, every computer exposed to Internet has security risks. Imho, since it means business, website owner tends to care more than home PC owner.

While you can get hosted as low as $5, or maybe less, I really don't see hosting from home is better then.
