I was recently contacted by a website that I was affiliated with, I had used their product datafeed to add their products to a shop.
There were only around 1000 products(and hence product pages), but because on my site there are buttons to click for translation in many languages, google was showing in their backlinks reports tens of thousands of backlinks coming from my site.
So they asked me to remove their products as they were worried that it would harm their SEO.
I didnt argue just removed, but am thinking that the backlinks wouldnt have caused any Google penalty anyway. What do you think?
