How to CREATE A WEBSITE FOR A SMALL BUSINESS?

My aunt is a wonderful artist, and she is not having so much luck lately selling her beautiful - handmade from scratch - jewelry, clothing and garden decorations. I told her that she needs to MARKET and get a website - that way she can not only sell at her shows, but worldwide!!

Does anyone know anything about the website-making world? What are the best domains, how would you make sure it pops up on searches like google, and how much would it be? Is it something you can do yourself?

First you need a web host. You cant get good traffic with a "free"site. The host will cost $50 or less for a year, including your domain name and all the tools you need to create the site.

I suggest using Wordpress to create the site, the full version comes with your hosting. Anyone can create a great site with Wordpress.
Getting traffic, free traffic by using keywords, social bookmarking etc.
