Help me with Link building ?

I have done all with off page optimization except Link building. Please guide me regarding this and help out with the basic steps to start it.

i have done

1>social bookmarking
2>directory submision
3>forums / blogs
4>article submisson

now what i want is to get inbound links (one way) from the sites similar to mine, so what are the steps i have to take.

there's a lot of quirks with yahoo i believe and their algorithm isn't justified. and people are being mislead by it.
